Hisham Echafaki
Hisham Echafaki is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist whose work merges surrealism and classical art to convey a profound ecological message. Driven by a fascination with the intricate beauty of nature, its colours, patterns, and forms, he creates thought-provoking compositions that challenge perceptions of humanity’s place within the natural world.
Through the use of anthropomorphism and trompe-l’œil, techniques, his animal subjects are transformed into sentient beings, mirroring human behaviours and emotions, and urging deeper reflection on conservation and environmental impact. Since 2012, Hisham has exhibited internationally, including several solo shows, a 13-meter public work for the Musée de la Poste in Paris, and a 2023 collaboration with jewellery brand Pandora for their Love Unboxed collection. His work has been showcased in galleries and leading art fairs and is held in several private and public collections.
